Dear Present, Past, and Potential Neighborhood Leaders,
We are looking forward to 2006 being a great year for Pflugerville and are ready to make a difference with your help. The Pflugerville Council of Neighborhood Associations invites you to be part of our Monday, Jan. 9th, Neighborhood Leader Roundtable at 7:00 pm at Pflugerville Justice Center and those that follow on a quarterly basis. Town Meetings will occur on months in between on behalf of residents and neighborhood/community leaders able to participate.
Click here for a PfCONA member application* and bring it (or fill one out that night) to formally sign-up/re-sign-up to represent your neighborhood so we can work on behalf of your neighbors and the community at large, with you at the table.
There are diverse issues and concerns that require your vital input at quarterly roundtables. These get sent to Council, city board/commissions/committees, and city staff, not too mention sharing it with residents, one another, community organizations, and proposed commercial developments. Your input will also be sought via surveys, forums, workgroups, an dcommittees that you will be invited to lead or participate in, or have your own neighbors do so. Whatever the case, you will learn a lot and realize that an informed citizen can do more than vote--they can provide input on decisions made every week by city government, for example, that impact their household and neighborhood.
For the above reasons and more, join your peers as PfCONA begins its 21st year of serving Pflugerville. Be part of our neutral organization that helps have your neighborhood residents' voices be heard. Partner with our neighborhood network that seeks to an even greater impact on our growing city by expanding its board, partnerships, and consensus-building efforts, which can be done if you are on board helping enable this to happen.
Give us your talent, skills, wisdom, and experience during 2006 and forward us the names of potential members who can play a role in our community-building efforts. Its people like you who make Pflugerville a great place to live.

*PfCONA memberships or membership renewal ($12 per household for members/associate members) occurs every January and PfCONA Executive Committee nominations/elections are done every January meeting. Current board will be offering suggested changes to bylaws to enable expansion of executive committee and creation of an advisory board that would include all neighborhood leaders so that they would have a more direct influence on PfCONA's direction and strengthen PfCONA's ability to share their neighborhood's issues and concerns with city.
