WEEKEND CIVIC ACTIVITIES - PfCONA Town Meeting on TV and Police Dept. Open House

Watch August PfCONA Town Meeting on Channel 10
Video of the August PfCONA Town Meeting is showing on Ch. 10 this weekend for those who weren't able to participate in the meeting or who have been waiting to see it.

Next scheduled showings are Friday, September 22nd, and Sunday, September 24th, both days at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Main speakers on video include Serita Lacasse, Executive Director of Faith in Action - Pflugerville Caregivers as well as Vernagene Mott, Oral History Project Team. Charles Dupre, Acting PISD Superintendent also introduces himself. Plus, you get to hear from special guests: City Manager David Buesing, Councilman Kurt Reece, and Karla Buitrago, Policy & Communications Director for Rep. Mark Strama.

Pflugerville Police Department Open House
Being held on Saturday, September 23rd, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Pflugerville Justice Center at 1611 E. Pfennig Ln.

An evening for residents and their families to visit the Police Department and get acquainted with our community's officers/staff and tour the building.

Bring your camera and have your photo taken with an officer on a police motorcycle, bike, or all terrain vehicle. There will also be a moonwalk, paint ball target shooting, jail tours, and much more. See how fast you can throw or kick a ball with a radar gun. For more information, call 251-4004.

PfCONA: 9/11 - Neighborhod Leader Roundtable Meeting - Proposed LCRA Project & More

What: PfCONA NEIGHBORHOOD LEADER ROUNDTABLE
When: Monday, September 11th, from 7:00pm to 8:30pm or so
Where: Pflugerville Justice Center, 1611 E. Pfennig Ln.
Why: To bring together Pflugerville neighborhood and civic leaders* for dialogue and updates on important neighborhood/community issues
How: Make the choice to be there to participate--bring a board member/block contact/captain, and/or neighbor
Cost: None. Speakers, hospitality, parking, lighting, 60-90 chairs, A/C, and restrooms are included. *Come early to meet/chat with speakers/participants.

Featured speakers at start of meeting are:
Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) Government Relations Team/Staff: Will give an overview and update of proposed project in relation to Pflugerville area and entertain questions from the public. Summer has been busy, with 12-15 neighborhoods + many civic leaders participating in town meetings/roundtables.
