Jan. 10th PfCONA Town Meeting will include presentation on PISD Bond Package
Purpose: See "Feb. 5th Vote Scheduled for PISD Bond Package" below. Meeting will also include further nominations and election of PfCONA Executive Committee (Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary/Treasurer) and discussion on direction and goals of PfCONA this next year.
Jan. 11th City Council Work Session at 5:30 p.m.
Purpose: PCDC budget, marketing, communications, business park, goals, performance measures, vision and mission statement.
Jan. 11th City Council Work Session at 6:30 p.m.
Purpose: Presentation of Awards and Appreciation for outgoing city board/commission members and swearing in of newly appointed members.
Jan 11th City Council Meeting at 7:30 p.m.
Purpose Highlight: Will include Public Hearing on annexation and rezoning of 28.5 acres at northwest corner of Pfennig Ln and FM 685, which Wal-Mart has under contract from landowner. Zoning request is for change from agriculture to general business.

Feb. 9th Town Hall Meeting Hosted by Mayor Callen (originally scheduled for Feb. 1st)
Purpose: "The Hunger" (for business to diversify our tax base) and the ramifications (e.g., cost) of business if it does or does not come--if we choose to wait. Will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at a location to be announced.
Feb. 5th Vote Scheduled for PISD Bond Package
Purpose: The Board of Trustees of Pflugerville ISD has called a bond referendum for Saturday, February 5, 2005. The $70 million bond package will contain money for three new elementaries, a new building for the Alternative Learning Center, additions to Pflugerville Middle School and Westview Middle School, money for future land purchases, renovations and maintenance work on many of the existing campuses, upgrading all elementary playgrounds, adding an orchestra program to two schools, artificial turf for all three high schools, technology upgrades, equipment and furniture, and renovation work for the rock gym by Timmerman Elementary. Feb. 5th Vote Non-binding Referendum Vote Scheduled regarding Proposed Racetrack
Purpose: For Pflugerville residents to vote to show either their support or opposition to the Austin Jockey ClubÂs application for the proposed horseracing track along Pecan Street approximately one (1) mile east of Immanuel, near the intersection of Pecan Street and the future State Highway 130.
Voting will take place at City Hall at 100 E. Main, Ste 500 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Early voting will begin on Jan. 20th and end on Tues., Feb. 1st. Extended hours for early voting will be held on Tues., Feb. 1st, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Sat., Jan. 29th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
